Four out of 100 students at risk of Internet addiction in South Korea: survey

About 4% of South Korean adolescents are at risk of Internet addiction, but the number has been on the decline thanks in part to a growing social awareness of Internet overuse, a government survey showed Wednesday.
The survey of approximately 1.74 million students, composed of elementary school fourth-graders, middle school freshmen and high school freshmen, revealed that 68,044 of them, or 3.9%, appeared to be at a level that required caution from Internet overuse, according to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
